Histology Technician

We are seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our team at Woodland Heights Medical Center. As a Histology Technician, you will play a critical role in preparing and staining specimens of human body tissue for evaluation by Pathologists.

• Prepare and stain specimens of human body tissue according to established policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain solutions, perform special mountings, and stains.
• Operate and maintain equipment, and perform related service duties.
• Collaborate with Pathologists to ensure accurate and timely preparation of tissue specimens.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a histology program.
• Knowledge of chemical reagents, solutions, and equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to perform histology procedures.
• One to three months of work experience necessary to acquire familiarity with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
