Wildlife Conservation Development Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wildlife Conservation Development Manager to join our team at the Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead a development program for a unique wildlife conservation organization in New York's six-million acre Adirondack Park.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to support the mission of the Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation;
- Maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, government representatives, and other stakeholders to nurture their connection to the organization;
- Oversee all aspects of prospect research and cultivation, donor relations, engagement, and stewardship of ACLC's donors;
- Research and develop cultivation plans for major gifts;
- Manage the organization's donor database and maintain accurate records of donations and interactions;
- Assist with the development and execution of annual appeals, special appeals, and membership appeals;
- Solicit corporate and business sponsorships for ACLC's research and education projects;
- Produce reports to provide analysis on all aspects of gift receipt and donor relations;
- Serve as a responsible spokesperson for the organization in all professional situations.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. They should also be detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications;
- Minimum of three years' experience in philanthropy, fundraising, and grant writing for a nonprofit organization;
- Proven capacity to formulate and implement successful fundraising strategies;
- Familiarity with environmental/conservation fundraising and New York's Adirondack Park a plus;
- Demonstrated ability to interact with a variety of people, including donors, volunteers, and government representatives;
- Competency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office products, donor database software, the internet, and e-mail.
Compensation: We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
