Aircraft Structural Mechanic

The role involves planning, designing, fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces, adhering to technical manuals, engineering specifications, and FAA regulations. The position requires disassembling existing aircraft structures for modifications, which may include altering removed components or installing new parts from kits according to engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

· Layout, locate, fit, trim, assemble, and install parts and assemblies where precision is critical, ensuring that all fittings meet exacting tolerances.

· Drill, countersink, and rivet exterior skin panels, maintaining high standards of skin quality. Work from various complex blueprints, engineering orders, and production illustrations.

· Execute all structural rework, repairs, and engineering orders as necessary.

· Proficiently utilize computer-based systems to fulfill job responsibilities.

· May require working in confined spaces.

· Fabricate detailed components from blueprints or engineering directives.

· Conduct aircraft inventory, acceptance, and inspections.

Job Duties & Requirements:

· Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance and repair activities.

· Ability to read and interpret aircraft technical orders, drawings, and blueprints is essential.

· Continuous training and skill enhancement are expected.

· Self-motivation and effective scheduling of tasks to meet deadlines are crucial.

· A minimum of five (5) years of documented experience in aircraft structural installation, modification, troubleshooting, and repair is required.

· Experience in heavy structural modifications is preferred.

· Some travel may be required, up to 25%.

Basic Qualifications:

· High School Diploma/GED along with 5 years of aircraft mechanical experience.

· Competence in utilizing computer-based systems for job functions.

· Flexibility to work any shift or schedule is necessary.
