Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant/ Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at Mission Veterinary Partners. As a key member of our veterinary practice, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a positive experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in all duties, including preparing animals for exams and surgery.
  • Perform or prepare laboratory tests, administer medications under the direction of a veterinarian or veterinary technician, and obtain and properly handle/prepare in-house and laboratory specimens.
  • Work in cooperation with staff to attend to any immediate needs, handle animals and their owners in a responsive, courteous, and tactful manner, and inform staff and clients of any pertinent medical information related to animal care.
  • Maintain a healthy, safe, sanitary, pleasant, and clean facility for the animals.
Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb, as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds and lift over 50 pounds with the assistance of a coworker.
  • Fluent in the written and verbal skills necessary to perform successfully the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the position.
  • Ability to exchange accurate information with all clients and team members.
