As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence within the unit.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Monitor and manage patient's hemodynamic status, including vital signs, laboratory results, and other relevant data.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, and monitor patient's response to therapy.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and unit performance.
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
