Position: Systems Administrator II (Linux)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
  • Manage daily operations of IT system infrastructure.
  • Provide Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier II (Escalation) support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.
  • Assist users in accessing and utilizing IT systems effectively.
  • Monitor and resolve issues related to client/server/storage/network devices and mobile devices.
  • Communicate status updates to agency management and internal stakeholders.
  • Optimize system performance and resource utilization through capacity analysis and planning.
  • Deliver in-depth troubleshooting expertise for IT systems.
  • Offer detailed feedback and analysis for escalated support tickets.
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Linux operating systems, ensuring integrity and performance enhancements.

Basic Qualifications:

A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity is required. A bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited institution is mandatory. Alternatively, five (5) years of additional Systems Administrator experience may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
