The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Euclid Hospital is dedicated to the management of adult patients facing severe medical and surgical challenges. As a Registered Nurse (RN), your primary responsibilities will include delivering direct nursing care, executing and evaluating patient care plans, administering medications and treatments, and coordinating discharge planning while closely monitoring and documenting patients' conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct nursing care in alignment with established protocols and procedures.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions effectively.
  • Assess and adjust care plans to achieve desired health outcomes.
  • Coordinate care among various healthcare disciplines for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to nursing standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to address discharge planning needs.
  • Provide education and resources to patients and their families.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through education and clinical practice.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

Certification Requirements:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is necessary for those in critical care areas.
  • Additional certifications may be required based on specific departmental needs.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of one year of recent acute care RN experience in a hospital setting is required.
  • Relevant experience in skilled nursing facilities or rehabilitation settings may also be considered.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform a full range of motion, including lifting and moving patients.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work in high-pressure environments.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Adherence to standard precautions and use of personal protective equipment as necessary.
