The Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled Clinical Support Specialist - Patient Ambassador to join our team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in providing an exceptional experience for our patients, helping them navigate their care journey with confidence and compassion. Your mastery of human connection, strong drive for service, and ability to remove barriers to care will make you an ambassador for our patients in office.

You'll be responsible for providing clinical support services, including venipuncture, dispensary duties, and other related tasks. Your innovative problem-solving skills, excellent specimen collection technique, and tactful interpersonal skills will ensure that every interaction with patients is positive and productive. You'll also contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, and participating in problem-solving initiatives.

In addition to your clinical responsibilities, you'll perform opening and closing duties, maintain the look and feel of both patient and employee-facing spaces, restock supplies, and organize daily operations. You'll master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and complete daily work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide best-in-class venipuncture services for patients of all ages
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties, such as non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Manage dispensary responsibilities, including verifying counts, maintaining inventory, placing orders, receiving and stocking, filling, packaging, and labeling prescriptions for patient pickup
  • Continue to care for members beyond the lab room by answering patient messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
What You'll Need
  • At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (additional experience with remote teams a plus)
  • A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
