We are seeking a highly skilled Recycling Maintenance Technician to join our team at Pratt Industries.

About the Job

As a Recycling Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment used in our recycling facilities. This includes ensuring the safety of the equipment, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of the equipment by checking and repairing safety guards, installed correctly, checking for obstruction, checking and repairing hydraulics, operating vehicles, brakes are functional, fluids are within the specified range, and safety equipment is functional and in place.
  • Maintain inventory and supply of replacement parts, keep written records, send reports on a monthly basis, order parts as approved by the Facility Manager, work with vendors concerning replacement parts and quality.
  • Keep all equipment in operating condition by performing preventative maintenance tasks, following prescribed schedules, assisting/train operators to do their own maintenance, and mechanical repairs for all machinery and vehicles.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 7 – 10 years experience with mechanical and maintenance duties
  • Hands-on skills and attitude
  • Ability to work in varying climates and conditions
  • Willingness to uphold PRATT Safety and Operational excellence policies
