Patient Care Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care and support to patients and their families, including bathing, toileting, and oral hygiene.
- Assist with preparing patients for assessments, physical examinations, and procedures.
- Recognize and respond to opportunities to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Obtain and document patient information, including vital signs and laboratory results.
- Assist with transporting patients to departments or units as needed.
- Provide post-mortem care and assist with preparing patients for discharge.
- Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Completion of a Patient Care Technician program or equivalent medical background experience.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
- Strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of patients and their caregivers.
- Exceptional focus on teamwork and dedication to ongoing education.
- Ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care and service based on a strong sense of patient focus.
- Experienced or certified in phlebotomy and checking EKG, vital signs, and blood sugar.
- At least one (1) year PCT or CNA experience in a hospital setting.
- Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Patient Care Technician with successful completion of a PCT program.
