Job Overview


As a Senior Software Engineer at Oracle, you will collaborate with teams of developers tasked with the design, creation, and maintenance of our innovative software solutions.

Your role will require you to architect comprehensive system interactions, engage in hands-on development, and possess a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and networking.

Key Responsibilities


In this position, you will actively contribute to the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures within the software engineering division.

Your responsibilities will include defining and developing software for tasks related to the design, implementation, and debugging of software applications or operating systems.


As a principal engineer, you will work independently and provide technical guidance to the broader organization.


Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in software development.
  • Proficient in writing high-quality code using Java, GoLang, C#, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver products and familiarity with the complete software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with large-scale, highly distributed service infrastructures.
  • Background in operational environments with mission-critical services.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication, and a sense of ownership.
  • Experience in designing architectures that exhibit deep technical expertise or span multiple products to ensure high availability and scalability.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a technical lead on large-scale cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) languages, preferably Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Knowledge of computer networking principles.
  • Experience with Linux internals and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Experience in hiring, mentoring, and enhancing the talent pool within the organization.
