Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Guide and support nursing staff and ancillary personnel in delivering quality care.
  • Utilize electronic medical records effectively in all relevant duties.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and psychological needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and medication administration.
  • Implement nursing services in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Participate in training programs for facility personnel on mental health standards.
  • Adhere to correctional facility policies and the State Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Valid Registered Nursing License in New Mexico.
  • Certification: Current CPR Certification.
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program; Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of clinical experience; experience in correctional nursing is advantageous.
