Job Summary

US Engine Valve is seeking a highly skilled Lead Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing organization, you will be responsible for designing and specifying advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems to improve manufacturing support and maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design control systems for machine tools, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Capital Equipment Selection: Select capital equipment for manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Improve current machine tools to increase uptime, quality, and productivity.
  • Engineering Support: Provide engineering support to production equipment and processes, including advising maintenance personnel.
  • Cost Savings: Establish programs for cost savings activities to support overall plant requirements.
  • Training and Development: Train associates on new technologies and manufacturing processes.
  • Quality and Compliance: Maintain and follow Quality Management System and Environmental Management System requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Involvement in teams and champion team activities.
  • Cost Tracking: Track and accumulate cost savings.
  • PFMEA Expertise: Understand the use of PFMEAs within our organization, develop, maintain, and review PFMEAs as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge in machine function, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.
  • Mechanical Design: Detailed abilities in mechanical design.
  • Project Management: Capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning.
  • Human Relations: Human relations are essential, with the ability to mentor and develop maintenance personnel.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to self-manage assigned project tasks and assist other plants/facilities with technical problems.
