Us Engine Valve is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and specifying advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems to improve manufacturing support and maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities- Design control systems for machine tools, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Select capital equipment for manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Improve current machine tools to increase uptime, improve quality, and increase productivity.
- Provide engineering support to production equipment and processes, including advising maintenance personnel.
- Establish programs for cost savings activities to support overall plant requirements.
- Advise on improving preventative maintenance programs and consult with suppliers and internal engineers for continuous improvement programs.
- Authorize and approve changes to machine tool programs.
- Train associates on new technologies and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain and follow Quality Management System and Environmental Management System requirements.
- Participate in teams and champion team activities.
- Track and accumulate cost savings.
- Develop, maintain, and review Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Technical knowledge in machine function, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.
- Technical knowledge in mechanical design.
- Detailed abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning.
- Human relations skills, including mentoring and developing maintenance personnel.
- Ability to self-manage assigned project tasks.
- Preferred experience in data-driven analysis and problem-solving methods.
