Job Summary

Nova Southeastern University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student Employment Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our career development team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to students, faculty, and staff in all aspects of student employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized advising to students on campus employment opportunities, application processes, and career development strategies.
  • Collaborate with financial aid teams to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and to provide guidance on financial aid eligibility and program requirements.
  • Develop and implement training programs, workshops, and presentations to enhance student employment knowledge and skills.
  • Monitor and manage student employment transactions, including hiring, rehiring, terminations, and job description updates.
  • Assist with recruitment events, such as career fairs and student employment fairs, to promote student employment opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, and perform data entry tasks as required.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve student employment goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience working in a post-secondary educational institution, preferably in financial aid or a closely related area.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with student employment programs and services.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations and programs.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. The successful candidate will be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with FERPA regulations.
