Job Summary

This position is responsible for operating nuclear detection and imaging equipment, preparing radiopharmaceuticals, and performing nuclear medicine procedures to provide diagnostic images of the heart and other organs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate nuclear detection and imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of the heart and other organs.
  • Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear radiologic studies, ensuring adherence to departmental protocols and safety standards.
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including administering radio-pharmaceuticals to patients and utilizing equipment to enhance diagnostic value.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including logging patient dose administered, progress notes, and other pertinent data.
  • Dispose of and store radioactive materials according to law and departmental protocols.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program resulting in an associate's degree or bachelor's degree.
  • Washington State certification as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (N) certification.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.

Work Environment

This position is located in a fast-paced Center for Cardiovascular Health Team, with day shift and no weekends or organizationally recognized holidays. NO CALL REQUIRED.
