Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Amcor plc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining plant production machinery, support equipment, building, and other systems throughout the site to maintain optimum operating conditions and plant productivity.
Job Dimensions:- Responsibility for inventory control for maintenance spare parts and all maintenance min/max supplies used in the plant.
- Creates purchase request for warehouse items, production supplies, and maintenance parts as needed.
- Procuring parts for maintenance projects and repairs, including assigning parts to the related WOs upon arrival.
- Maintain the integrity of the maintenance storeroom.
- Receives and performs job assignments through work orders, sketches, PM schedules, blueprints, or verbal instructions.
- Responds to emergency requests for repairs/replacements, including fire system malfunctions which may be reported during off hours.
- Troubleshoots malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate and remedy the breakdown or malfunction.
- Installation of conduits, wire connections to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Combination of technical training equivalent to that generally obtained in a two-year college or apprenticeship program.
- Minimum 4 years manufacturing work experience and/or 1 year Maintenance Technician ll, with experience & training to include at least one of the following: Allen Bradley PLC (SLC-500 and/or PLC5), Eurytherm Drive (590-690 Series), Siemens Drives S7 / PLC, Process Control & Instrumentation (temperature, flow, pressure, level, etc.), Power Distribution (480 VAC & below), Machine Controls.
