Maintenance Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician I to join our UniFirst team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Utilize hand and power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ensure safe operation of machinery and equipment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
- Follow blueprints, schematics, and operation manuals to perform maintenance tasks.
- Record and analyze meter readings of utilities and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Perform daily and weekly safety checks on equipment and make necessary repairs.
- Inspect and maintain motor, belts, fluid levels, and other equipment components.
- Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System to track and manage maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two-year technical degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience in a production environment, with experience repairing industrial processing equipment.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
- Knowledgeable in maintenance equipment and procedures.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics, as well as maintenance literature.
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required.
- Lockout/Tagout experience required.
