This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to operate a range of heavy construction equipment, including mini-excavators, skid steers, backhoes, and digger derricks. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment, collaborating with the team, and delivering high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently, eliminating job site hazards.
  • Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.
  • Measure, mark, or record openings or distances to layout areas where construction work will be performed.
  • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes.
  • Collaborate with and support fellow crew members.
  • Aid in job layout, checking grade, scheduling, and ordering of materials.
  • Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned.
