Job Summary:

Sandpiper Bay Resort is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, associates, and visitors. You will be the first point of contact for guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional service and assistance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Access Control: Ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed on property by handling access control at the gates.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain accurate logs of entering and exiting vehicles to ensure the security and safety of our guests.
  • Observation and Reporting: Be observant and report any irregularities or concerns to the Security supervisors to investigate.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies within the resort as needed.
  • Rule Enforcement: Explain and enforce rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of our guests.
  • Monitoring: Monitor designated areas to recognize signs of danger and take necessary action.
  • Warning Guests: Warn guests regarding unsafe situations to ensure their safety.
  • Incident Reporting: Complete incident reports as needed and/or requested.
  • Key Control: Exercise key control to ensure the security of our resort.
  • Front Office Support: Support the front office operation to ensure seamless guest service.
Requirements:
  • Age: 21 years of age or older.
  • Security License: Must hold a current Security Class D license, in good standing.
  • Experience: 6+ months related experience.
  • Certifications: First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds.
  • Physical Fitness: Physically fit, strong, agile, and dexterous.
  • Availability: Must be available weekends and holidays.
Additional Requirements:
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Implement, apply, and control the H.A.C.C.P. method and hygiene and safety rules.
  • Personal Hygiene: Respect and follow the personal hygiene and uniform rules as set by Sandpiper Bay Resort.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the maintenance and preservation of premises, equipment, and materials.

  • Other Duties: Any other duties assigned by Supervisor.
