Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), you will be responsible for delivering cardiopulmonary care services under the guidance of the Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager. Your role will involve administering respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies, as well as conducting diagnostic tests to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung conditions.

Qualifications Required:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current licensure in Tennessee as a Certified Respiratory Therapist; ABG endorsement required.
  • BLS certification required upon hire; ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with patients and families to assess health needs and provide appropriate care.
  • Administer and monitor various respiratory therapies and treatments.
  • Document patient assessments and care plans accurately and timely.
  • Participate in the development of patient care plans addressing cultural needs and goals.
  • Report significant changes in patient conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Utilize supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively.
  • Organize and prioritize patient care for optimal outcomes.
