Ochsner Health is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team on a PRN basis. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia to patients during surgical, obstetrical, and other pain-producing clinical procedures under the supervision of a physician.
Key Responsibilities- Administer anesthesia to patients during surgical, obstetrical, and other pain-producing clinical procedures
- Work in a collaborative model with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff to provide high-quality patient care
- Assess patients before, during, and after administering anesthesia to ensure their safety and well-being
- Document patient procedures and incidents accurately and thoroughly
- Participate in department quality assurance initiatives and activities of professional development
- Master's degree from a school of nurse anesthesia accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
- License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice
- Certification through the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
The incumbent works in a patient care area and is exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The job requires standing for prolonged periods and working in a fast-paced environment.
