In Advanced Behavioral Therapy, we're dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Role OverviewWe're seeking a skilled Autism Care Specialist to join our team in Pleasantville, NJ. As an essential member of our team, you'll work closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to implement behavior intervention plans and provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with ASD.
Responsibilities- Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA to ensure effective treatment strategies.
- Deliver high-quality, individualized therapy sessions to individuals with ASD, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
- Collect and record data on client progress and behavior to inform treatment decisions and drive positive outcomes.
- Collaborate with BCBAs and other team members to create and maintain a supportive therapeutic environment that fosters growth and development.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain confidentiality of client information at all times.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience working with children, particularly those with ASD or developmental disabilities, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building trust and rapport with clients and their families.
- You must be able to follow instructions and work independently as part of a team, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
- A reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license are necessary for travel between appointments and meetings.
- A successful background check is also required for this role.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques is beneficial for implementing evidence-based interventions.
- Knowledge of data collection methods and behavior tracking software can help streamline your work and enhance client outcomes.
- The ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to complex challenges is highly valued in this role.
