Contract Occupational Therapist - Children's Services

Are you a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist seeking to make a positive impact on the lives of children in an educational setting? Soliant has an exciting opportunity available for a skilled and compassionate therapist to join our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory integration, and functional abilities to determine individualized therapy goals.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans and interventions tailored to address each student's unique needs and facilitate their progress.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to student care.
  • Monitor and document students' progress meticulously, adjusting therapy interventions as needed to achieve desired outcomes and celebrate successes.
  • Empower teachers and staff by providing training and support on strategies and accommodations that promote students' functional independence and participation within the school environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including therapy plans, progress reports, and billing documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid State Occupational Therapist license in good standing.
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the IEP (Individualized Education Program) process and proven experience collaborating with special education teams.
  • Strong knowledge of various therapy techniques and interventions specifically designed for children with diverse needs.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet the unique needs of each student and fulfill documentation requirements.
