Role Overview

The Senior CCAP Eligibility Coordinator plays a pivotal role within the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), offering vital support and guidance to parents and guardians seeking childcare services while they engage in work, education, or job searching. In this capacity, you will meticulously evaluate all CCAP documentation and supporting materials related to families receiving assistance through the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) and childcare providers receiving compensation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of CCAP applications and supporting evidence.
  • Provide training and mentorship to colleagues on CCAP protocols and procedures.

Candidate Qualifications

  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's degree in social work, customer service, data entry, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in bookkeeping and/or customer service is strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) is essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite, is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license, insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation starts at $18.47/hour, with offers based on experience.
  • Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with over three weeks of paid time off in the first year, including a designated holiday period.
  • Additional benefits include 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, and a 401(k) plan with matching contributions.
