We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Spanish-Speaking Mental Health Therapist to join our team. As a therapist at Barcelona Counseling, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals, families, and couples.
Responsibilities- Provide individual, family, and couples counseling services to clients of diverse backgrounds.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and coordinate care for your caseload.
- Adhere to all ethical guidelines and legal requirements governing mental health practice.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues through team communication and participation in peer review, clinical consultation, and training opportunities.
- Engage in monthly clinical supervision as required by the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists or the Board of Licensed Social Workers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, and other relevant documentation.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.
- Pre-licensed registration with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (OBLPCT) or clinical social work associate status with the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers.
- Ability to practice mental health services in the State of Oregon without restrictions.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in electronic health record software.
- Willingness to panel with health insurance carriers.
- One or more years of experience providing direct mental health services to individuals, families, and couples.
- Familiarity with family and child therapy principles and techniques.
- Experience with EMDR Therapy is highly desirable; training will be provided by Barcelona Counseling.
- Experience with Play Therapy or Art Therapy is a plus.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
