The Maintenance Specialist is tasked with diagnosing issues, executing repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance on various systems including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing, as well as maintaining the physical integrity of the property.
Key Responsibilities:- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, documenting solutions and suggesting further actions. Ensure all HVAC systems and mechanical components are maintained and repaired as necessary.
- Maintenance Tasks: Carry out a range of repair and maintenance duties throughout the property, such as painting, drywall repair, plumbing, and lighting maintenance.
- Project Coordination: Interpret verbal instructions and technical drawings to compile material lists and verify measurements. Manage inventory of tools and supplies to ensure readiness for maintenance tasks.
- Asset Management: Safeguard company assets and understand the impact of maintenance on the hotel’s financial performance.
- Guest Interaction: Respond to guest requests with a positive attitude, ensuring a high level of service is maintained.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments to meet guest needs and contribute to overall operational success.
- Project Execution: Implement engineering projects according to specifications, ensuring efficient planning and prioritization of tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with all relevant regulations.
Evening shift from 12 PM to 10 PM or 2 PM to 10 PM.
Qualifications:Applicants should possess an Associate's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a related maintenance role.
- Experience in carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics.
- Strong mathematical skills for material calculations.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Boiler License (or willingness to obtain).
Candidates should be capable of working independently, understanding preventive maintenance protocols, and adhering to safety regulations. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures is essential.
