Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our team at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) in Red Wing, MN.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, hourly position based in Red Wing, MN. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, calibrating, and maintaining electrical systems and process control devices. You will also troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, diagnose and propose repair solutions for electrical power, electrical control, and process control equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain electrical systems and process control devices
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose and propose repair solutions for electrical power, electrical control, and process control equipment
  • Assist in the planning, budgeting, and implementation of electrically related facility projects
  • Operate hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools
Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent is preferred
  • Current Minnesota Journeyman Electrician License is required and must be maintained
  • Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a world-class safety culture; understand and follow company safety procedures
  • Develop and maintain proper use, care, and safety skills of all hand, power, welding, and any other tools necessary for use in the course of this job
  • Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
  • Candidates are required to successfully complete a maintenance test consisting of technical aptitude, ability, and work habits
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lifting up to 50 lbs. unassisted, wearing a respirator
  • Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed
  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting when needed
  • Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude
  • Basic knowledge of process sensors/transmitters
  • Basic knowledge of electrical safety devices (breakers, fuses, etc.)
  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical work practices and guidelines to include those outlined by the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Willing and able to take formal trade school courses as selected by ADM management and take such courses on a continuing basis

ADM requires the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and a background check. Relocation benefits are not provided for this position.
