Thompson Engineering is seeking a skilled Construction Materials Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Ridgeland, MS.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of construction materials on site. This includes conducting daily oversight of testing and inspection activities to guarantee that specified standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing regular tests on construction materials using specialized equipment
  • Obtaining concrete samples from ready mix trucks and delivering them to the laboratory
  • Running tests on concrete samples and documenting results
  • Recording construction crew performance data and observing their activities
  • Inspecting rebar and soil samples from the job site
  • Interacting with clients and contractors in a professional manner
  • Maintaining company-owned equipment and ensuring it is in good working order
  • Implementing quality and quantity standards on all work assignments
  • Establishing and maintaining a daily diary of field activities
  • Submitting reports and documentation as required by project specifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience in a CMT Level II Technician position
  • Level III Certifications for relevant work assignments
  • Valid driver's license
  • Effective communication skills

Estimated Salary:** $45,000 - $60,000 per year
