Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Staff Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide medical evaluations and treatment for adult and adolescent patients with chronic and acute health issues. You will use your expertise in primary care to provide high-quality healthcare and medical education, collaborating with our team to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform medical evaluations and treatment for patients with chronic and acute health issues.
  • Provide high-quality healthcare and medical education to patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with our healthcare team to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Work with diverse patients and staff, providing culturally sensitive medical services.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to the development of new protocols and policies.

Requirements

  • License to practice medicine in Washington, DC.
  • DC DEA Certification.
  • DC Controlled Substance License.
  • Spanish language or Amharic language fluency preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community preferred.
  • 2 years of experience working with people living with HIV or issues related to HIV care preferred.

Working Conditions

This position requires normal office environment working conditions, with occasional evening and weekend shifts. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal supervision, manage time and effort to meet strategic objectives, and provide excellent customer service.
