Job Summary:

As a Radiologic Technologist - On-Call at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting. Your responsibilities will include performing diagnostic radiological procedures, utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment, and working under the supervision of a radiologist as needed. You will also be responsible for image processing, patient registration, and patient scheduling, as well as participating in an on-call or standby schedule as required.

Essential Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostic radiological procedures, utilizing diagnostic radiographic equipment.
Work under the supervision of a radiologist on an as-needed basis.
Image processing, including understanding and using the current RIS and PACS system.
Patient registration and scheduling.
Participate in an on-call or standby schedule as required.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
Registered Radiologic Technologist (Washington) OR Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) required.
Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire required.
Radiologic Technologist Certification required at hire from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Additional Requirements:

Daily use of diagnostic equipment, Imaging and health care computer system.
Demonstrates customer-focused service skills.
Ability to use and apply excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all personnel.
Proficient knowledge of radiology equipment and exams to perform fluoroscopy, DXA, surgery, portable, and routine radiographic exams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three (3) years.
Organizational skills; time management, prioritization, planning; attention to detail; problem-solving, decision-making, judgment; technical skills; initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, organizational relations.
Adaptability; following Policies and Procedures; flexibility.
Experience with McKesson PACS and EPIC electronic medical records system.
Associates degree in Radiologic Science or related field.
