Diagnostic Imaging Technologist

The role of a Float Mammography Technologist at RAYUS Radiology is to perform high-quality mammography exams for the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury in patients of all ages. This position requires a strong foundation in principles and procedures of diagnostic radiology and mammography, as well as the operation and maintenance of radiologic equipment.
Patient Care & Imaging Duties
- Produces diagnostic images in assigned areas and performs quality control tasks as required.
- Screens patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions related to the examination.
- Performs mammography examinations to a high quality standard to serve patients and referring physicians.
- Promotes and motivates good customer relations with patients, physicians, visitors, and other company personnel.
- Maintains and adjusts equipment.
Department Support Duties
- Participates in staff meetings with employee involvement.
- Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians referring to the company.
- Assists in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manual.
- Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information Software.
- Maintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co-workers.
- Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise.
Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
