Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Indirect Tax Accountant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing Indirect/Telecom Tax audits, conducting tax research, and identifying tax savings opportunities. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience dealing with Indirect tax audits in a Multi-State environment, with a strong background in MS Excel and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to Indirect/Telecom Tax audit notices and document requests
  • Manage Indirect/Telecom Tax audit process, working as a primary point of contact for the auditor
  • Gather and generate historical data to support tax returns
  • Identify tax savings and prepare refund claims
  • Conduct tax research for Indirect/Telecom goods and services
  • Perform system testing to ensure proper taxability
  • Review company purchasing activity for proper Indirect Tax treatment
  • Process and document customer tax exemption requests
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding the taxes we charge
  • Interact and collaborate effectively with other members of the Tax Department, operating divisions, corporate accounting, etc.
Requirements
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited university
  • 3+ years of experience dealing with Indirect tax audits in a Multi-State environment
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data, with excellent MS Excel and written and verbal communication skills

The base pay range shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies.
