Job SummaryWe're seeking a motivated Senior Indirect Tax Accountant to join our team. This person will be a primary point of contact for our Indirect/Telecom Tax audits and contribute to the research, analysis, and documentation of company tax planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Respond to Indirect/Telecom Tax audit notices and document requests
- Manage Indirect/Telecom Tax audit process (working as a primary point of contact for the auditor)
- Gather and generate historical data to support tax returns
- Identify tax savings and prepare refund claims
- Conduct tax research for Indirect/Telecom goods and services
- Perform system testing to ensure proper taxability
- Review company purchasing activity for proper Indirect Tax treatment
- Process and document customer tax exemption requests
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding the taxes we charge
- Interact and collaborate effectively with other members of the Tax Department, operating divisions, corporate accounting, etc.
- Special projects as assigned
We're looking for a candidate with 3+ years of experience dealing with Indirect tax audits in a Multi-State environment. Telecom experience is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have excellent MS Excel and written and verbal communication skills.
