About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Indirect Tax Accountant to join our team at DISH, a leading provider of satellite television services and innovative connectivity solutions. As a key member of our Financial organization, you will play a vital role in supporting our business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to Indirect/Telecom Tax audit notices and document requests
  • Manage Indirect/Telecom Tax audit process, working as a primary point of contact for the auditor
  • Gather and generate historical data to support tax returns
  • Identify tax savings and prepare refund claims
  • Conduct tax research for Indirect/Telecom goods and services
  • Perform system testing to ensure proper taxability
  • Review company purchasing activity for proper Indirect Tax treatment
  • Process and document customer tax exemption requests
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding the taxes we charge
  • Interact and collaborate effectively with other members of the Tax Department, operating divisions, corporate accounting, etc.
  • Special projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited university
  • Ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience dealing with Indirect tax audits in a Multi-State environment. Telecom experience is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data is a must, along with excellent MS Excel and written and verbal communication skills
