Job Title: Assistant Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Controller to join our team at AMVAC Chemical Corp. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in managing global intercompany processes, including intercompany trade A/R, A/P, interests, and other expenses.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Company's global intercompany process, including intercompany trade A/R, A/P, interests, and other expenses.
  • Support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Assist in daily cash management, including reviewing and approving payments.
  • Assist in reviewing, approving, and posting journal entries prepared by other members of the finance team.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in monthly forecasting and annual budget processes.
  • Prepare audit schedules and gather requested support for audits to assist with internal and external audits.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages to assist in the consolidation process using Oracle Hyperion software.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by performing data validation processes for multiple entities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that accounting information is accurate and timely.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects related to accounting/finance as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA and Public Accounting experience required.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience.
  • Must have a solid understanding of internal controls and auditing processes with experience in a public company accounting department.
  • Experience with managing both domestic and international business issues resolution.
  • Understanding of the consolidation process, including intercompany elimination.
  • Experience dealing with Big 4 accounting firms for audits.
  • Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledgeable with Hyperion FCCS preferred.
  • Polished verbal and written communication skills focused on financial management.
