Position Overview:

We are in search of a Warehouse Manager to oversee and manage all warehousing activities at our operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the multi-shift warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory management, and work-in-progress/ready-to-ship departments.
  • Supervise off-site warehouse locations as necessary.
  • Manage the dock scheduling system for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Collaborate with Scheduling and Production teams to mitigate order shortages.
  • Ensure inventory control maintains an accuracy rate of 98% or higher.
  • Coordinate the disposal of waste, surplus, expired components, and finished goods, utilizing food banks or other charitable organizations when suitable.
  • Provide sales teams with insights on products nearing expiration to minimize expired product occurrences.
  • Assist Quality Assurance in auditing components for compliance with quality specifications.
  • Analyze and recommend strategies for combining components, substitutions, and addressing potential issues with standard waste factors.
  • Work alongside Scheduling and Purchasing departments to optimize inventory levels for components and finished goods.
  • Advise on capital investments for warehousing operations.
  • Monitor the quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of goods movement and storage.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations concerning personal safety and the operation of all powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • Lead the development and implementation of warehouse safety programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; or 7+ years of relevant experience in the food industry or a related field; or a combination of education and experience.
  • APICS certification is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and lead a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
