Job Summary

Flag Solutions is seeking a skilled Forge Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assisting our Blacksmith with all forging activities, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Forge Operations
    • Assist the Blacksmith with all forging activities, including setup and operation of forging equipment.
    • Load forge furnaces and maintain traceability.
    • Stamp and identify all forged parts to ensure proper traceability.
  • Safety and Quality
    • Participate in efforts to establish and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Follow policies and procedures for the reduction and elimination of industrial accidents.
    • Provide quality feedback to promote safer work behaviors and conditions.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Perform autonomous maintenance on forge equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Communication
    • Maintain effective communication with the Blacksmith and crew members through hand signals or radio contact.
    • Communicate production and equipment problems to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
  • Additional Requirements
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
    • Ability to lift, carry, and turn material during the forging process.
