Job Title: General Lab Supervisor in Oregon

At K.A. Recruiting, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Lab Supervisor to join our team in Eastern Oregon. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our laboratory, ensuring the smooth functioning of experiments, equipment, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of lab personnel, including technicians, researchers, and interns, to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
  • Procedure Development: Develop and implement laboratory procedures, protocols, and safety guidelines to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation to support laboratory operations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper maintenance of lab equipment to minimize disruptions.
  • Performance Evaluation: Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and support professional development for lab staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Troubleshooting: Oversee and troubleshoot technical issues, providing solutions to ensure minimal disruption to laboratory operations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to support research and development projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to management and stakeholders to inform decision-making.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, etc. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting, with 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and equipment, as well as excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in specific software or systems relevant to the lab work.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
