Job Title: Recovery Coach

Join Northern Light Health, a leading healthcare organization in Maine, as a Recovery Coach in our Addiction Medicine Clinic. As a key member of our treatment team, you will play a vital role in providing a seamless continuum of care to patients struggling with addiction.

Job Summary:

The Recovery Coach will work closely with our treatment team to engage, educate, and support patients in their recovery journey. This role requires a compassionate and empathetic individual with excellent communication skills, who can build strong relationships with patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Co-facilitate peer-led support groups to foster a sense of community and connection among patients.
  • Serve as a mentor and role model, demonstrating ways to become empowered and self-responsible in recovery.
  • Provide coaching and care coordination services to patients, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed to achieve and maintain recovery.
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team to ensure a comprehensive and patient-centered approach to care.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local recovery communities and agencies to provide patients with access to resources and support.
Requirements:
  • Must have completed the 5-day, 30-hour intensive Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) Recovery Coach training.
  • Must be an individual in long-term recovery or a recovery ally.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in behavioral health or substance use disorder recovery setting preferred.
