About the Role

The Clinical Rotation Preceptor reports to the Clinical Coordinator, responsible for guiding students' clinical learning experiences and facilitating their development as advanced practice skills.

  • Directing overall goals and objectives for the practicum experience based on student outcome objectives provided by College faculty.
  • Assisting students in applying theory to practice.
  • Evaluating students' identified learning objectives.
  • Assisting students to develop and improve performance.
  • Utilizing appropriate teaching methods to help students meet their learning objectives.
  • Facilitating an informal, collaborative, and mutually respectful environment in which to learn.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Promptly communicating issues of concern or unsafe practice regarding the student to clinical faculty.
  • Reviewing the objectives of the course and student's clinical objectives to determine the type of learning opportunities that will enhance student learning.
  • Maintaining required certification and licensure.
  • Actively participating in meeting, review, and analysis of data, compiling reports, and meeting academic and administrative deadlines.
