Laboratory Support Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to all safety protocols in the laboratory and manufacturing environment.
  • Operate and manage laboratory testing instruments.
  • Complete all necessary safety and skills training as mandated by the laboratory and corporate guidelines.
  • Ensure the laboratory is safe, organized, and clean.

TESTING AND CALIBRATION

  • Under supervision, conduct electrical, mechanical, thermal, functional, and environmental tests in compliance with established standards or engineering specifications.


  • Collaborate with test requestors to confirm testing requirements and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Record test data and outcomes meticulously in accordance with corporate documentation standards.

    • Assemble and disassemble testing apparatus.
    • Set up, connect, and operate testing devices in the designated environment.

TEST PLANNING

  • Coordinate with Senior Technicians to outline specific testing procedures.

RESULTS ANALYSIS

  • Provide an objective assessment of test outcomes.

REPORTING

  • Interpretative opinions are not provided at this level.

METHODS AND STANDARDS

  • This laboratory adheres strictly to established certification methods without modifications.

NEW METHOD DEVELOPMENT

  • This laboratory utilizes defined methods from certification standards and does not engage in creating new methodologies.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Proficient in the safe use of standard laboratory hand and power tools.
  • Competent in operating basic laboratory measurement and testing equipment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts (voltage, current, power, resistance, etc.).
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES

  • Identify and rectify unsafe or undesirable conditions within the laboratory.
