We are seeking a highly skilled Sediment Remediation Modeler to join our team at CDM Smith. As a key member of our Environmental Services Group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sediment remediation projects across the United States.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and apply advanced modeling techniques to understand surface water hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and contaminant fate and transport in various aquatic environments.
- Design and implement field sampling programs to support the development of conceptual site models, mass balances, and data-driven understanding of fate and transport processes.
- Evaluate the feasibility of sediment remediation technologies and assist in the development of sediment remediation designs for large contaminated sediment sites involving multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborate with clients to assess and understand complex sediment remediation problems and develop technical strategies to address them.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5 years of experience in sediment remediation modeling, project management, or a related field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to clients and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
