We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Onboarding Specialist to join our team at Uplinq. As a Tax Onboarding Specialist, you will be responsible for client onboarding, collecting necessary documents, client follow-up, internal workflow, and preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals and businesses.

This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual to develop their skills in the FinTech space and work with a close-knit team of professionals who are passionate about solving complex problems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client onboarding and document collection
  • Client follow-up and internal workflow management
  • Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for individuals and businesses
  • Collaborating with the Tax Operations team to ensure seamless workflows
  • Identifying and resolving tax and bookkeeping issues
  • Designing and implementing comprehensive chart of account setups for new clients
  • Leading troubleshooting initiatives to enhance functionality and user experience

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in tax preparation, with a preference for those with multi-client experience
  • Active EA or CPA certification
  • Proficiency in tax software such as Drake, ProSeries, Lacerte, or similar
  • Experience in Sharefile and QBO
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related fields
