Community Housing Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Community Housing Manager is tasked with the comprehensive oversight and upkeep of the Pine View Apartment program.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the apartments, which includes troubleshooting, performing minor repairs, and responding to facility emergencies as they arise.
- Manage rent collection and ensure that all accounts are current in accordance with lease agreements. Responsible for collecting coins from the laundry facilities and preparing them for deposit following organizational procedures.
- Conduct routine inspections of the property to ensure tenant compliance with lease terms and report any infractions to the Director of Operations.
- Ensure that efficiency apartments are cleaned and maintained by contractors per Virginia regulations, with a minimum frequency of once every seven days. Supervise linen service pick-up and delivery to adhere to these standards.
- Monitor and manage contracts related to maintenance, waste removal, landscaping, and other necessary services, reporting any concerns to the Director of Operations.
- Provide timely and professional responses to tenant inquiries, issues, and complaints.
- Coordinate the move-in process for new tenants and conduct move-out inspections for departing residents.
- Maintain all necessary certifications as mandated by the State of Virginia and the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Strong time management abilities.
- Proficient in carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, flooring (including carpet, vinyl tile, ceramic tile, and vinyl sheet stock), and roofing.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Certification in first aid/CPR.
- Supervisory capabilities.
- Understanding of ADA requirements.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal codes pertaining to building, safety, and health.
Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
