Key ResponsibilitiesThe Travel Technology Administrator is vital to the ongoing growth and success of Short's Travel as we expand rapidly. As a member of the TMC technical operations team, you will be instrumental in configuring agency systems and processes to accommodate new clients, while also collaborating with the agent operations team to enhance support for existing clients and streamline processes.
Essential Duties- Client Implementation: Set up new customer sites within Short's internal travel systems, advise clients on travel policies and procedures, and provide tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
- Agent Support: Offer Apollo and/or Travelport+ support to agents, manage customer and personal travel profiles through the ETSI profile manager, troubleshoot issues with internally developed applications, train agents on new technologies, and ensure proper documentation in the Globalware accounting system.
- Online Booking Tool Management: Implement new customer sites in Deem or Concur online booking tools, administer travel policy updates, and resolve customer issues through effective use of online booking tool programming.
- Mid-office Automation: Design and oversee Compleat routines for automated solutions, test current Compleat designs, and assist in transitioning GDS systems from Apollo to Travelport+.
- Data Analysis: Troubleshoot reporting data reconciliation, assist the travel technology team in utilizing reporting tools to convey quantitative insights, and ensure accurate data collection for Grasp and internal reporting tools.
As part of the Short's Travel Management team, you may also be called upon to assist in other departments or take on tasks outside your usual responsibilities for the benefit of our clients and the company.
Qualifications- At least 2 years of experience supporting Apollo or Galileo GDS Systems.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with travel management companies.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze issues and develop logical solutions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of providing innovative solutions to operational challenges.
- Self-Motivated: Proactive in seeking improvements and opportunities.
- Technical Proficiency: Quick to learn and apply new technologies.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in data management and analysis.
- Collaborative Skills: Works effectively with various departments to meet their needs.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in both written and verbal communication tailored to the audience.
- Required:
- Experience with Apollo or Galileo GDS Systems.
- Experience with Concur and/or Deem online booking systems.
- Familiarity with TMC data reporting tools.
- Experience with mid-office and back-office systems.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of Compleat mid-office processes.
- Understanding of ETSI Profile Management.
- Familiarity with Grasp reporting systems.
- Ability to manipulate and analyze data in Microsoft Excel.
