The Dialysis Patient Care Technician plays a vital role in supporting clinical staff throughout the dialysis treatment process, ensuring safe care and high-quality outcomes for every patient.
Schedule: Full-time, three 12-hour shifts; Sundays off; no overnight shifts
Compensation: Pay range from $20.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on healthcare experience; experience not required

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities
- Guide new patients through 120-day education plan
- Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
- Role under RN supervision
- Set up and break down dialysis blood system for treatment
- Insert and remove patient access needles
- Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform charge nurse of any concerns
- Calculate patient's weight loss to reach dry weight
- Determine patient care priorities and organize workload accordingly
- Maintain professional working relationship, observing patient privacy and rights
- Maintain and track inventory
- Perform laboratory work
Qualifications:
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills
- Desire to collaborate with care teams
- Ability to problem solve
Education/Training:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous healthcare experience preferred, but not required
- CNA, EMT, medical assistant, CNT, and/or phlebotomy skills desired
- DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom group sessions and one-on-one skills training
- Dialysis experience not required, job shadow opportunities available
