Position Summary: As a key member of our team, the Cybersecurity Solutions Pre-Sales Engineer (CSE) plays a pivotal role in providing both pre and post-sales technical guidance on business prospects identified by our Account Executives. Collaborating closely with Account Executives and other leaders, the CSE develops and implements solutions tailored to meet the technical needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a balanced blend of pre-sales expertise, practical experience in deploying enterprise cybersecurity solutions, and a profound understanding of the cybersecurity landscape. This role requires the candidate to act as the technical authority on new initiatives, Proof of Concepts (POCs), and ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Technical Pre-Sales Initiatives: The CSE is accountable for propelling business opportunities through the technical validation stage. This involves critical analysis and objective evaluation of solutions, ensuring alignment with desired outcomes through teamwork.
  • Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs): The CSE should effectively manage POCs from inception to completion, showcasing the ability to swiftly understand new technologies and implement solutions within our lab environment.
  • Craft Solutions to Meet Client Needs: The CSE must exhibit the capability to design solutions that align with our clients' business and technical requirements, utilizing tools such as Excel, Visio, Lucidchart, and Confluence for documentation. Creativity, meticulousness, and a strong grasp of solution frameworks are essential.
  • Present Solutions to Stakeholders: The CSE should possess excellent presentation skills and the ability to translate business needs into effective solution designs, demonstrating a solid understanding of enterprise architectures.
  • Maintain the Lab Environment: The CSE is responsible for overseeing a virtual infrastructure utilized for demonstrations, testing, integrations, and POCs, employing technologies such as VMware, Microsoft Windows, RedHat, ForeScout, Palo Alto Networks, FireEye, McAfee, and Splunk.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive Experience: A minimum of 10 years in a technical pre-sales capacity, serving as a subject matter expert and demonstrating the ability to identify and address business challenges through effective solutions.
  • In-Depth Knowledge of Cybersecurity: A strong comprehension of various cybersecurity domains and the implications of technical design decisions in the context of enterprise deployment.
  • Hands-On Cybersecurity Experience: Practical experience with widely deployed cybersecurity tools and open-source technologies, showcasing technical proficiency and adaptability to new technologies.
  • Familiarity with Relevant Technologies: Experience in delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and POCs for a diverse range of cybersecurity solutions addressing identity and access management, cloud security, data protection, endpoint, and network security.
  • Certifications: Relevant technical certifications in areas of expertise, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • CISSP/CCSP Preferred: Foundational knowledge of IT concepts aligned with CISSP and CCSP domains is desirable.
