Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the construction team to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate field construction inspection and contract administration activities.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, contracts, specifications, and special provisions.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with project engineers, contractors, subconsultants, owner agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Adhere to quality assurance and safety standards.
  • Provide inspection of construction activities to ensure quality of construction and compliance with project requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in construction management of various projects, including road and bridge construction.
  • Working knowledge of general design principles, safety and labor laws, quality control, and quality assurance principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to manage a staff of professionals and direct their efficient utilization on projects.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications for position.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites, sometimes for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous project management and/or inspection experience on DOT or FHWA road construction projects.
  • Current Professional Engineer license.
  • Construction materials testing experience.
