Position Overview:

We are seeking a Staffing Specialist to join our dynamic team at Challenge Unlimited Inc. This role offers opportunities for advancement. Reporting directly to the Staffing Manager, the Staffing Specialist will play a crucial role in connecting individuals with diverse abilities to temp-to-hire job opportunities, fostering independence and growth.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Shift: Full Time
Salary: $19 per hour
Setting: Office environment with potential remote work options after training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and place candidates in positions that align with their skills and interests.
  • Promote a culture that supports our mission of providing employment opportunities to individuals facing challenges.
  • Identify and recruit qualified candidates.
  • Conduct pre-employment screenings, assessments, reference checks, and necessary background checks.
  • Assist the staffing team with the hiring process, including updating job postings and scheduling interviews.
  • Manage incoming department calls and assist with time clock data entry and reporting.
  • Ensure all new-hire documentation is completed accurately and submitted promptly.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with team members and employees.
  • Provide general customer service support.
  • Conduct new-hire orientations both on-site and at various locations.
  • Assist with recordkeeping and reporting as assigned.
  • Support the manager as needed and contribute to special projects.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the staffing industry or customer service preferred.
  • Background Checks: Must pass federal and state background checks and be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license.
  • Personal vehicle required for company-related travel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
